I've had a crush on a guy since February. He lives (diagonally) across the street from me. I've noticed that when he gets out of his car, the first thing he does is to look across, at my house. I've also noticed that whenever he sees me sitting outside, he will come outside too and watch me. I've noticed this twice. The first time: I had seen him going for a walk, so I intentionally went to sit on the porch, pretending to do some drawings. When he came back from his walk, he sat on the stairs in front of his house - on the porch looking towards me. The second time, I was sitting in my driveway. Halfway through the driveway there're these gates and inside the gates are stairs. I was sitting on the stairs, doing some work. After a while, I went inside, looked out the kitchen window and there he was sitting on his front porch, this time on the chair there, hand on his cheek like he was thinking and looking directly towards the gate, at me (you can still see through the gate). I've heard that when a guy watches you from afar, then he's likely interested but idk. It seems we have both noticed each other. We've never made eye contact or anything. I'm super shy, so I've been avoiding that. Also, apart from those two times we're rarely outside at the same time. But I want to look at him the next time I see him, for a few seconds, then look away... just to hint that I have noticed him too. He lives with his two friends (a guy and a girl), who happen to be a couple. I'm not sure how old they are but they appear to be around the same age as me, 27. They share the house together. I have never seen him with a girl before at all, which makes me think he's single and that he's not a player. They do have mutual friends that come over. I want to hint to him that I'm interested by looking at him for once instead of avoiding eye contact, to let him know that I've noticed him. At the same time I'm really shy, so I'm worried I won't make the best impression if he ever decides to talk to me and I don't want to embarrass myself, especially because he lives across the street from me, so it's going to be really awkward if things don't work out.
